« Julie was my first choice when I wanted to explore blackwork for my next tattoo, after seeing her work with other artists I had already worked with. She took the time to develop ideas, and on appointment day was ready to change and adapt to both my body and to thoughts brought up at the last minute. Julie works freehand, but ensures that before needle touches skin, the ideas are concrete and in line with her clients desires. Finally, while blackwork and extensive shading, particularly in sensitive areas, can be very painful; Julie has a gentle touch and a fast pace and keeps the mood light throughout the process. Strongly recommended, and I will be retuning once I have the next project in mind! »

« The choice to get tattooed by Julie felt like an obvious one the moment I saw her work, her universe, and her energy. I was at a time in my life when I needed to shed my burdens, reconnect with my guides, with myself, and try to learn how to love myself. The experience was complete! A mixture of relief, pain, soothing, connection, journeying, tears, and laughter.The foundation of the tattoo is a flash created by Julie (which spoke to me deeply and inspired me), and throughout the sessions it was adapted and adjusted to my body, to my past journey, and to accompany me on the path ahead. I carry it today like an artifact, a protection—even though I went through moments of doubt and questioning my worthiness. During the sessions, and even afterwards, I crossed thresholds, understood things, and even though I had already begun to take steps along the path, Julie accompanied me—sometimes letting me move forward on my own, but always supporting me.

« My neck tattoo was the first piece I got from Julie. I was very excited to find a tattoo artist with as much interest in ancient Celtic art that I have and her interest manifested in the attention to detail put in the piece itself and the discussions we had leading up to getting the tattoo. This was the first tattoo I got that really opened my eyes on the self-affirming and spiritual power of tattooing. What started as an aesthetic and interest-based tattooed evolved in something much deeper through the process of inscribing it in my skin. Getting this tattoo was an important part of the process of finding my voice again and trusting in it, and showed me new avenues to connect with ancestors and the land.
